"Mars Express", "Un genre de testament" and "Au revoir Jérôme" are shortlisted for the Emile Awards 2024!

The European Animation Awards Association was created in 2017 by animation professionals to celebrate and showcase European animation talent.

 

After two Lille editions in 2017 and 2018 the award was suspended following the pandemic. It returns this year for a third edition.

 

The ceremony will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the historic Apollo Municipal Theater in Hermoupolis on the island of Syros in the Cyclades, Greece, as part of the ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival.

 

13 short films and 9 feature-length films were selected from the 10 categories of the Emile Awards.

"Au revoir Jérôme", "Un genre de testament" and "Mars Express".

 

 

 

"Un genre de testament", directed by Stephen Vuillemin ( Master in Character Animation and Animated Filmmaking, class 2008) is selected in 5 categories : "Best Backgrounds and Characters in Short Film", "Best Animation in Short Film", "Best Sound Design and Music in Short Film", "Best Innovative Short Film" and "Best of the Best Short Film".

 

 

" Au revoir Jérôme ", directed by Chloé Farr, Gabrielle Selnet and Adam Sillard ( Master in Character Animation and Animated Filmmaking, class of 2001) was selected in the "Best Innovative Short Film" category.

 

 

And last but not least, Jérémie Périn's feature-length film " Mars Express ", which will be presented at Cannes in 2023 and has been nominated for a César, has been selected in the Feature Film category.
