Two GOBELINS student films nominated for the Annie Awards !

The graduation films "AU REVOIR JÊROME" and "THE SOLOISTS" are nominated for the distinction of reference in the field of animation, 2 years after "LA BESTIA" (winner in 2021) and "COFFIN".

"AU REVOIR JÉRÔME" and "THE SOLOISTS", two graduation films from GOBELINS, will compete in the "Best Student Film" category at the 50th Annie Awards ceremony, which will take place on February 25, 2023.

"LA BESTIA" in 2021 and "BEST FRIEND" in 2019 won the award. "COFFIN" in 2021 and "UN DIABLE DANS LA POCHE" in 2020 were nominated.

This is the fruit of the joint work of the students and the GOBELINS teams.

"AU REVOIR JÉRÔME" transports us into a dreamlike universe. Just arrived in paradise, Jérôme starts looking for his wife Maryline. As he searches, he sinks deeper and deeper into a surreal and colorful world where no one seems to be able to help him.

The film has already won prestigious awards, notably at the Berlinale and Anima in Brussels, and was selected at the Sundance and Annecy Festivals.

In a small village governed by ridiculous laws, three singing sisters and their dog rehearse for the annual fall festival. But an unexpected event will upset their plans. 

Set in a fictional country, this eight-minute comedy-drama, made entirely in 3D animation mixed with 2D elements, is a subtly ferocious satire of some of the authoritarian regimes still in existence today.

They denounce the obstacles to freedom of expression for women artists today.

GOBELINS salutes NETFLIX's support for equal opportunities : 3 students have received grants for their tuition and living expenses.
