Louise Carrasco and Léo D'Oriano exhibited at the 4th Biennale de la photographie du 13e
The 4th edition of the " grande fête de la photographie du 13e " will take place from March 25 to April 13, 2024 at the Mairie du 13e and at the Quai de la Photo, an exhibition space dedicated to photography.
Organized by Mairie du 13e, Objectif Image Paris IDF, Club Photo Cheminots de Paris Austerlitz - CPCPA, centers Paris Anim' Goscinny et Oudiné, Action collégiens Paris in partnership with Compétence Photo, La Fab. (Fondation Agnès b.) and Quai de la Photo, the Biennale follows in the footsteps of Robert Doisneau and focuses on youth photography, with the theme "Childhood, Adolescence, Youth ".
As in previous years, the Biennial will feature works by renowned photographers, young photographers and amateur photographers.
This is an opportunity to celebrate emblematic figures in photography such as Sabine Weiss, who would have turned 100 in 2024, Janine Niépce, one of France's first female photojournalists, and Lewis W. Hine, one of the inventors of social and documentary photography.
The contemporary program includes two alumni of the Bachelor Photographe et Vidéaste: Louise Carrasco ( class of 2017) and Léo d'Oriano (class of 2018).

Louise Carrasco is a Chilean-born French photographer specializing in fashion photography and advertising. Recognizable by her playful, colorful pop style, she has worked for many brands, including Adidas, Aigle, Benetton, Converse, Levi's and Warner Music.
She will be presenting her " Arco Iris " series commissioned by Chilean stylist and art director Mima Zamall. This collaboration, initiated in 2017, is a true hybrid between the two artists' universes and a plunge into the Chilean fashion underground.

Léo D'Oriano focuses his work on post-traumatic reconstruction. His series in Fukushima, Japan (2019) and Blackpool , UK (2018) explore what remains after a disaster, questioning the impact of crises on people's intimacy.
He won the French Ministry of Culture's Grande Commande Photographique with his series "Ils en avaient 16", documenting the daily lives of two groups of young people in L'Yonne after the pandemic.
Léo D'Oriano's work bears witness to a youth whose relationship with others and with intimacy has been redefined by the pandemic and an increasingly anxiety-provoking world situation.
