Take the time to question your skills and desires
"Before going freelance, I spent a lot of time listening to feedback from professionals via conferences, podcasts or interviews.

I also analyzed my strengths and weaknesses, my values, my desires and the opportunities that presented themselves. Taking the time to ask yourself the right questions and learn from the experience of others can help you make the right decisions, avoid pitfalls and move in the right direction!"

Diversify your experience to identify sectors suited to your profile
"You should try to vary the sectors as much as possible to find the one that best suits your creativity. For example, if you have a rather patient temperament, 3D might be a good match."

Using social networks
"To get known, Instagram is a great tool, it's an international showcase, but it's also a job in its own right. You have to produce content and make sure you remain sincere for it to work. Today it's a real business, and the risk is forgetting that you first have to create a community and share your work with honesty and pleasure before selling anything. ".

"I started out working exclusively in advertising. My first clients were former collaborators I'd met during internships or my first DA jobs. These initial contacts then enabled me to work with other agencies.
You have to besocially intelligent, and your bonhomie will make the difference between two very good profiles. It's very important to know how to make friends, because you're your own agent before you're a creative.

"It took me a long time to knock on the doors of the studios and agents I dreamed of working with, because I was afraid I wouldn't have the level. You shouldn't hesitate to do so, as these people are perfectly aware that your level won't be the same as that of a senior.
We tend to forget this, but progress continues after school, and it's normal not to know how to do everything when you leave".

When you do this job, you have to be organized. In the beginning, I was very focused on my drawings, but you can't neglect the practical and administrative aspects of your work. If you don't, you're stressed out and less productive, which is bad for your creativity. "
