Enter the "Et pourtant elles tournent" competition organized by Arte

ARTE is launching the second edition of its "Et pourtant elles tournent!" women's documentary short-film competition .

Organized in partnership with Elle magazine and SCAM around the theme of " Jour de paye ", the competition is open to female directors aged 18 and over and living in France.

Created by ARTE to enable women directors to express themselves without being confined to "feminine" issues, the aim of the competition is to encourage a greater diversity of views, and toopen up the field to different forms of documentary.

Participants are invited to make a documentary of 4 to 6 minutes maximum, illustrating their view of work.

The first 10 films selected will be purchased and broadcast on arte. tv.

2 prizes will be awarded following this first selection: a first prize of a development contract for a 52-minute documentary project produced by ARTE France's Société & Culture unit; and a second prize of 3,000 euros.

The competition runs from June 27, 2024 to October 29, 2024.
