Congratulations to Renaud Roche, winner of the Prix bd Fnac/ France Inter 2024!

Every year, the Fnac / France Inter prize selects 5 comics from among the 2023 favorites of Fnac booksellers.

The winning comic is featured throughout January in Fnac stores. An episode of France Inter 's Totémic program is also devoted to the winner.

Extract from "Les Guerres de Lucas" - Laurent Hopman and Renaud Roche - Duman éditions

Renaud Roche graduated from the " Dessinateur d'animation" program in 2002, and has worked as a storyboard artist andillustrator in a wide variety of sectors (cinema, advertising, press, events for advertising, etc.) for almost 20 years. He worked on the films "Tous en scène 2" and "Migration".

Released in October 2023 by Editions Duman, "Les Guerres de Lucas" is his first comic strip. Scripted by Laurent Hopman and illustrated by Renaud Roche, this 200-page graphic novel retraces the genesis of the creation of the legendary Star Wars saga in 1976.

The graphic novel reveals the obstacles George Lucas had to face from casting to shooting, in order to realize the film of his dreams, and tells how the saga revolutionized cinema and pop culture. Volume 2 is currently being written.
