Aristote Douroudakis and Jean-Baptiste Wéry guests at SATIS 2024

SATIS, the French-language trade show dedicated tocreativity and technological innovation in media, entertainment and audiovisual communication, will take place onWednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November2024 at theDocks de Paris in Saint-Denis.

 

Focusing this year onAI, its uses and its impact, the program covers new and topical issues concerning the production, post-production and distribution of audiovisual content in the broadest sense (cinema, television, animation, VR...).

 

Aristote Douroudakis, 2021 graduate of the Licence professionnelle Gestion de la Production Audiovisuelle and co-founder ofAvec ou sans vous, will be speaking at the "Animation in the age of AI" conference on Thursday November 7 at 6pm.

 

He will be joined by Alexia De Mari Freelance, Historienne des techniques, Stéphane Chung Responsable d'enseignement à l'INA, Camille Campion Responsable des relations publiques - co-responsable pédagogique chez Creative Seeds and Jean-Marie Guilloux, Avocat spécialiste en droit de la propriété intellectuelle.

 

This lively conference will discuss OpenAI's release of SORA and its technical, ethical and legal consequences for the animation industry.

 

Jean-Bapstiste Wéry, also a graduate of the Audiovisual Production Management program (class of 2004) and CEO of Studio Ooolala and Dandeloo, will be speaking at the “Post-production and VFX: how to reduce your environmental footprint” conference on Thursday November 7 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm

 

He will be joined by Lucas Boubel, Carbon Manager at Ecoprod, Charles Bussienne, Managing Director of Studio Polyson, Pauline Michel, Co-founder and President of Eclos Production, and Edouard Prevost, Co-founder of CARRICK SKILLS. 

 

The panel will detail the ways in which the audiovisual post-production and VFX sectors can reduce their carbon footprint and save energy. 

 

Thomas Meseguer, teacher coordinator of the first year of the Master's degree in Animated Film Design and Production , will also be speaking at the show, this time on "The role of developers in new production formats".

 

The conference will take place at 12 noon on Thursday, November 7, with Alexia De Mari, Technical Historian , Alexandre Fremaux Head of VFX TDs at MPC and Hans-Nikolas Locher Development Director at CST.

 

It will focus on theadaptation of production and post-production tools to the demands of content creators, and the essential role played by developers in the life of certain studios. Between production time and R&D, how does their work fit in with that of other technicians? What is the importance of their mission in film and audiovisual productions?
