Graduates of the Bachelor Photographe et Vidéaste in 2020 Charlotte Fouillet and Camille Grelaud formed the duo Camille Charlotte on graduation. Specializing in still-life photography, their work will soon be exhibited at Campus Versailles.

Created at the initiative of philosopher and sociologist Aurélien Fouillet, following his book "La vie des objets. Les métiers d'art, une écosophie pratique", Camille and Charlotte's series entitled " La vie des objets " explores the links between matter, light and the imaginary in the gestures and practices of fine crafts.

The two photographers worked around the objects, gestures, techniques, materials and tools used by dozens of craftspeople, to reveal "a material imaginary".

" [...] materials are transformed and metamorphosed, revealing their material rather than their formal qualities. Lacquer becomes a jellyfish, a brush a cosmic sky, objects living beings, (...) scales become volcanoes " .

Aurélien Fouillet, exhibition curator.

Camille and Charlottes will also take part in a round-table discussion organized on January 31, 2024 at 6:30pm as part of the exhibition.
