Call for projects for the 2024 edition of the "Parcours de Femmes" program
Les Femmes s'animent defends parity and equal rights and opportunities in the animation sector. The association's mission is to break down sexist stereotypes both in the studios and on the screens. To this end, in 2021 it launched the "Parcours de Femmes" mentoring program.
Aimed at French-speaking female artists from Africa, Europe or the French overseas territories, who are still students or already working and who do not already benefit from a network, the program offers support in the production ofa short animated film lasting a maximum of 10 minutes.
The aim of the program is to build up a collection of short films that take a personal, feminist look at the world.
Each project must be submitted by a pair of artists :a literary author and a graphic designer-director.
The 6 selected duos will receive support from the association Les Femmes s'animent and a team of mentors, enabling them to pitch their project at the 2024 Annecy festival.
The 12 participants will also benefit from 4 master classes and 5 days of coaching before preparing their pitch.
The 2024 edition invites candidates to share their perception of the world around them, talking about the past, present and future, under the theme "what I see".
To apply, you need to e-mail a summary of the film, a note of intent, graphic research and the CVs of the participants to the following address: lfa.prcoursdefemmes@gmail.com before January 12, 2024.

Authors benefiting from the residency at Fontevraud Abbey are selected partly on the basis of applications received in response to the calls for applications posted on this site, and partly through partnerships (Pitch MIFA in Annecy, Prix Plans Animés in Angers, Grand Prix Aïcha in Meknes...).
