Dedicated to women photographers, the "Les Femmes s'exposent " festival aims to showcase and reward their work, and in so doing, support new and established generations alike.

The Festival is also sensitive to the issue of democratizing access to culture. Exhibitions are held in public spaces, so that they can be seen and accessed by all.

For the third year running, the Festival is offering two creative grants, in partnership with the Ministère de la Culture / Drac Normandie: a residency in Houlgate, Normandy, and a "le climat en image" commission.

The residence in Houlgate :

The €6,000 prize is for a photographic project of at least 30 images on Houlgate, in connection with the town's name change 120 years ago.

The winning photographer will also work at Houlgate school as part of the festival's educational project.

Accommodation in Houlgate can be arranged.

The residency is open to professional women photographers resident in France, regardless of age. All types of photography are accepted.

The "Climate in pictures" order:

The €10,000 prize will be used to produce a photographic documentary on climate change outside the European Union. The proposed subjects may deal with the consequences, realities, solutions or advances linked to climate change.

The project must be original (a project to be initiated or never exhibited before) and include a minimum of 30 images.

As with the residency, the prizewinner will work at Houlgate school as part of the festival's educational project.

The commission is open toprofessional women photographers residing in France with at least 10 years' professional experience (production, exhibition, publishing, etc.). The grant is reserved fordocumentary photography.
