"Time Warp", Léo Caillard's new exhibition at Galerie LJ
A 2008 graduate of the Photographe Post-production program, Léo Caillard is now a sculptor and digital artist. His multidisciplinary practice evolves between marble sculpture and NFT.
Revealed in 2012 by his " Hispter in Stone " series, which featured antique sculptures from the Louvres museum dressed in contemporary costumes, mixing photography and sculpture, Léo Caillard explores our relationship with time, myths and epics.
Defined as a "neo-antique sculptor", Léo Caillard uses humor and anachronism in his works to create surprise for the viewer.
Having already been exhibited nearly fifty times, Léo Caillard's work will be on view at Galerie LJ in Paris, from April 27 to June 15, 2024, as part of the group exhibition "Time Warp".
The exhibition contrasts his sculptures with Julien Primard's figurative paintings, offering a contemplative experience conceived as a journey through the inner and outer landscapes of the human soul.
" My eye has always sought to observe the world to discover its meaning and codes, I try to show differently what we think we know, in order to shake up our convictions and establish a dialogue between eras. We're at the crossroads of radical changes that are forcing us to look back at our past history."
Léo Caillard.
