Last days to apply for the Game Changer program at the Villa Albertine

Developed by Villa Albertine, in partnership with theFrench Institute and with the support of Game for Change and Arizona State University, this immersion program for the French video game industry in the United States will welcome representatives from five French studios from March 11 to 19, 2025.

 

The studios will be chosen by ajury of Franco-American experts , and will benefit from a 10-day immersion in the Californian eco-system of Los Angeles and San Francisco to meet key industry players and take part in the Game Developer Conference in San Francisco.

 

The objectives of the program are multiple: to participate in the internationalization of the French video game industry; to draw inspiration from the practices of American studios and raise their awareness of the diversity and specificity of French video game players; to promote the attractiveness of France and French intellectual property in this sector; and finally, to encourage French studios to make progress on societal issues such as the feminization of the industry, diversity, gaming impact and sustainable development.

To apply, your studio must be established in France and have at least one video game in production, and you must be designated by the corporate representative to represent the studio, have French nationality and master a professional level of English.

 

Applications will be judged on the studio's development potential in the USA, the artistic quality of the video games, the economic relevance of the business model, and the candidate's background and experience.

 

The jury is made up of Jehanne Rousseau, CEO of Spiders, Jeanne Marchalot, Story Lab Director of France TV, France Télévision for France, and Eric Zimmerman, CEO of Gamelab for the USA.

 

The deadline for applications is Sunday, November 24, 2024.
