One month left to apply for AGORA DU DESIGN grants!
The AGORA DU DESIGN association provides financial support for original research projects by young designers in all fields.
Its support is organized around a biannual scheme comprising two grants for project-based research and one grant for exhibition-based research.
Every two years, it organizes the AGORA exhibition, showcasing the work of the winners. Selected designers also benefit from two years' support.
The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025.
AGORA grant for project-based research
This grant is designed toexplore the links between design practice and thought, by experimenting with practice through projects to overcome the boundaries between practice and theory.
It complements research work, enabling designer-researchers to work on the subject or reflection of their choice.
To enable them to carry out their project, the association grants the winner a study grant of 30,000 euros and a production grant of 5,000 euros. The project will be presented in the form of an exhibition at the AGORA show.
To apply, you need to be a French citizen or resident of France, and under 40 years of ageat the time the call for applications closes. Applications may be submitted collectively.
AGORA grant for exhibition research
The AGORA Curator's Bursary rewards an original and daring exhibition proposal presented by a curator. The project may be submitted by an independent curator or a collective.
The winning project will then be exhibited at the AGORA exhibition and at the AGORA DU DESIGN meetings , which feature talks, performances and installations.
The winning curator will take part in this event , defining the themes and choosing the guests. He or she may also act as moderator for these meetings/roundtables.
A study grant of 15,000 euros (for exhibition curation) and an additional grant of 35,000 euros (for exhibition production) will be awarded to the winner.
The bursary is open to collectives, and participants must be of French nationality or resident in France.
