GOBELINS renews its feat: at the top of the list of the best schools in Animation of the website Animation Career Review for the 3rd consecutive year: 1st school in the world, 1st in Europe, 1st in France.

The French touch is once again saluted by this essential ranking!

This year, 199 international schools and universities training in animation were in competition. This triple distinction at the highest ranks in the field of animation rewards GOBELINS for :

  • The excellence of its internationally recognized programs
  • The quality and variety of its faculty
  • The selectivity
  • Tuition and scholarships
  • Graduation rate
  • The professional integration of its graduates

"It is a great source of pride for the school to obtain this triple distinction once again. It rewards the commitment of our teams to our talented students. It is also a recognition of our openness to the international scene, accompanied by a sustained policy in favor of diversity and equal opportunity. I would like to take this opportunity to thank NETFLIX, MEDIAWAN and Guillermo del Toro, who have been working with us for many years. We are continuing our efforts in this direction with the launch in September of a high school animation course, 100% online, open to students from the city's priority districts. It is also the recognition of our policy of supporting French and international animation studios through programs that are enriched with new courses to better meet the needs of the creative industries. It's a great success for everyone" says Nathalie Berriat, Executive Director of GOBELINS.

GOBELINS, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary, offers a complete curriculum that meets international standards: a 3-year Bachelor of Arts degree and the possibility of pursuing a Master of Arts degree for two years (diploma); a pre-preparation animation course, a one-year 3D character animator course and a bachelor's degree (opening in October 2022) in partnership with CITIA in Annecy, as well as a professional degree in audiovisual production management in partnership with the Gustave Eiffel University.

Among the most prestigious awards won by our graduates: a nomination at the OSCARS 2009 for Oktapodi, the "Annie Awards 2019" for Best Friend and 2021 for La Bestia, "LA Shorts 2019" for The Ostrich Politic, "Best Show" at the SIGGRAPH, "Best Student film" at Anima Mundi, "Special International Jury Prize" at Hiroshima, etc.

As the leading animation producer in Europe and the third largest in the world after the United States and Japan, France has a major influence on international production. A booming sector, GOBELINS' animation training programs have an insertion rate of close to 100%.
