Held at the Pavillon Populaire in Montpellier since 2001, the festival showcases the work of photographers from all over Europe.
The festival awards 6 prizes each year:
- The Jury Prize: worth €3,500, divided as follows: €1,000 from the festival and €2,500 from the city of Montpellier for the purchase of a work of art, awarded to a young European photographer for his or her creative approach.
- The Prix du Public: worth €500, donated by festival partner Photon, this prize rewards the work of a photographer chosen by the public, and will be used to finance the production of an exhibition supported by the magazine La Gazette de Montpellier.
- The Prix Mutuelle des Motards, awarded to a photographer in the official selection, to purchase a work for his or her collection on the theme of "Liberté et Partage".
- The Coup de cœur Réponses Photo, with the prize of paid publication of the photographer's portfolio in the magazine of the same name.
- Le Coup de cœur Photon, which leads to the production of an exhibition and a three-month hanging at the Photon laboratory in Toulouse).
- The Les Jours "Coup de cœur", leading to the paid publication of a portfolio in the web magazine "Les Jours".
- The Eyes Coup de Coeur, which offers access to two half-day mentoring sessions to support the winner in his or her professional and artistic approach.
The festival is open to all amateur and professional photographers in Europe, regardless of age or nationality.
Entries submitted via an agent will not be considered. Entries are selected on the basis of artistic quality, originality and coherence of the photographer's vision.
The deadline for entries is Sunday, November 24, 2024.
