Call for proposals for the "Villa Formose Immersive" project

Created by CENTQUATRE-PARIS, in collaboration with the CNC, the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), the Kaohsiung Film Archive, the French Office in Taipei and the French Institute, " Villa Formose Immersive " is a bilateral program of immersive creative residencies between France and Taiwan.

Created in 2023, with the aim of strengthening creative synergies between France and Taiwan in the field of immersive reality, the program offers three residencies to enable the winners to develop the prototype of an immersive experience and strengthen their network and skills.

The call for entries is open to allpromoters of immersive projects produced or co-produced by a French co-producer.

To apply, you must be aged 18 or over, live in France, speak English (and/or Mandarin) and have at least one previous professional experience in the XR/immersive field.

This year's 3 calls for projects :

This residency offers 4 artists with artistic projects based in France the opportunity to travel to Taiwan for a short period (3 weeks) to write an immersive experience.

The residency covers flights and accommodation, as well as a program of tailor-made workshops, writing and networking sessions with Taiwanese professionals, and a pitching session for projects in front of Taiwanese professionals (producers, studios, distributors, investors, etc.).

This second, longer residency (3 to 7 weeks) enables an artistic project leader living in France to travel to Taiwan to develop the prototype of an immersive experience.

The residency also includes mentoring sessions and a €30,000 prize including production costs and per diem.

The XR Prototyping Residency is aimed at artistic project leaders living in Taiwan , and enables them to come to Paris for a period of 3 to 7 weeks to develop the prototype of an immersive experience.
