4 alumni featured in Fisheye's special anniversary issue
To mark its 10th anniversary, Fisheye magazine has published a special issue looking back at the decade's key topics.
Matthias Pasquet (class of 2014), Charlotte Abramow (class of 2015), Ella Bats (class of 2017) and Camille Gharbi (former trainee on the "Become a Photographer" course) are all featured in this special edition.
Matthias Pasquet, finalist for the Fisheye Prize for Visual Creation
Matthias Pasquet is one of 10 finalists for the first edition of this prize. Launched at the beginning of 2023, it is designed to reward "visual work demonstrating originality in both form and content".
Matthias Pasquet was chosen for his "Dynamique des plages" project, a fragmentary corpus of photographs and 3D prints, a veritable ode to Damgan, his childhood beach.

Charlotte Abramow's cover
The magazine looks back at its iconic covers, and in particular the one designed by Charlotte Abramow, commented here by Aurélie de Lanley, the Deputy Director of Rencontres D'Arles.
This cover from issue no. 29 (March/April 2018) reflects Charlotte Abramow's quirky eye and her work around the body.

"Song Blues by Ella Bats
This special issue is also an opportunity to discover or rediscoverElla Bats' "Song Blues" series, already featured by the magazine in 2021.
Ella Bats explores feelings and emotions by capturing bodies in motion. Through her colorful, phosphorescent images, she expresses what emanates from the flesh.
Her work is on show at Ellia Art Gallery until August 31.

Focus on the work of Camille Gharbi
Focus on the work of Camille Gharbi
Camille Gharbi's series "Preuves d'amour", denouncing conjugal feminicide, was the subject of a video in March 2022. Éric Karsenty, editor-in-chief, comments on the video in this special issue.
Going against the grain of awareness-raising campaigns, Camille Gharbi has chosen to focus her work on the objects used by aggressors. Very minimalist, her images take on their full importance with their captions, which include the names of the victims.

Thanks to Fisheye for highlighting the school's alumni, the fruit of a 10-year collaboration between the magazine and GOBELINS Paris.
