Queer Festival

To mark Pride Month, GOBELINS Paris is organizing its first queer festival, featuring creations by male and female alumni of the school.

 

Photo exhibition

The work of two alumni of the Bachelor Photographe et Vidéaste program is on show in the Saint Marcel campus gallery from June 14 to 28 (free admission).

This is an opportunity to discover a series of portraits by Louise Chabosseau (class of 2019) and the"Transkid" series developed by Pénélope Marcadé (class of 2022) during their studies as part of workshops.

This single-player Game Boy game created by Milia Barrière (Bachelor Game Art, class of 2023) deals with the themes of nightmares, anxiety and dyphoria in a "choose your own adventure" and "point and click" mode.

"While Shadows Remain

 While Shadows remain

This single-player game created by Nikola Borikic, Vincent Moulinet, Nils Quaetaert and Eva Raoul-Jourde (Mastère Spécialisé designer d'expériences immersives, interactives et ludiques, class 2023) lets you play the role of Alain, about to embark on his first cruising experience and confront his fear of otherness with his desires.



"Brille chérie"

This arcade game concept imagined, developed and designed by Audren Mauplot, Bastien Lepecheur, Cassandre Leguay, Fany Thourain and Yannis Cherif (Master Design et Management de l'Innovation Interactive, class 2020) lets users play the role of a Drag Queen sent into a sad, gloomy universe with the mission of spreading joy and good cheer around her.

 

This feel-good rhythm game is played on a dance mat. The heroine must liberate the people she meets on her quest by dancing and inviting them to join her.

Screening of short films

A program of short films by alumni of the  Master in Character Animation and Animated Filmmaking will be screened on Thursday June 27 at 7pm in Salle Pierre Ayma (Campus Saint Marcel). Please note that as seating is limited, access to the screening will be by registration only.

In the kitchen, a child tries to establish a dialogue with his mother, who pays him no attention. As heapproaches adolescence, questions about his gender identity collide with the gaze of others and the indifference that reigns in the family home.

The film traces a child's complex relationship with his mother about his trans-identity. Frightened and vulnerable, he tries to hide who he really is.

In the distant future, Sonia is about to be transferred from her space station to a new one. While everything seems to be going well for her, her thoughts are elsewhere, disturbed by a past not far away.
