Sasha Mongin exhibits her "Backstages" series at Galerie M

After "Mythes" and "Ecrins", presented during the "Nouvelles Masculinités" exhibition in October 2023, it's the turn of " Backstages " to be exhibited at Galerie M from Sunday September 22 to Wednesday October 2.

A 2017 graduate of the Bachelor Photographe et Vidéaste program, Sasha Mongin was selected in the finals of the Prix Picto de la Mode 2024 for this series shot backstage at Paris Fashion Weeks over the past two seasons 2023 and 2024.

"Backstages" explores the boundaries between reality and the fashion imagination to highlight the intensity of the models' emotions just before they enter the stage.

"Backstage at a fashion show is a very special place. It's a hive of excitement and stress after weeks of preparation, culminating in a highly symbolic moment: the catwalk, the unveiling of an artist's creations to the world.The emotions are palpable, right down to the skin."

The exhibition opening will take place on Sunday September 22 from 5pm to 10pm.
