Photo: two calls for entries this spring

Organized by the Centre d'Art et de Photographie Lumière d'Encre, this photographic residency will take place between September 15, 2024 and June 2025, over a period of 8 to 12 weeks, in Céret , Pyrénées Orientales.

Focusing on the theme "A world of influence", the aim of the residency is to enable an artist to take part in artistic research in the Pyrénées Orientales region.

Located on the border with Catalonia, Céret is marked by both French and Spanish culture. The residency invites artists toexplore this mix.

The residency will culminate in an exhibition of the artist's previous work and photos taken during the residency. The artist may also be asked to run photography awareness workshops.

The artist will be provided with a black and white laboratory and a digital laboratory, as well as a grant of €3,700.

Applications are open until May 1.

The 2024 edition of the "Les Femmes s'exposent" festival will take place from June 7 to September 1, 2024 in Houlgate. To mark theoccasion, the festival has teamed upwith Fujifilm to offer a prize for a photographic subject linked to solidarity .

The prize is open to professional women photographers living in France. All types of photography, documentary or artistic, are accepted. Photos must not have already won a prize, nor be created using artificial intelligence.

Fujifilm's prize package includes a black X-T5 Kit 16-80mm body and an XF70-300mm lens, worth a total of€3,398 incl. VAT.
