Immersive competition launched at Cannes Film Festival

For its 77th edition, the Cannes Film Festival is launching an "Immersive Competition". Organized with the support of the CNC, it will take place from May 15 to 14.

Succeeding Cannes XR, this new competition aims to showcase immersive, collective and interactive narrative works using virtual or augmented reality, as well as the new generation of international artists using and developing these technologies.

8 immersive works will be selected by a committee made up of industry professionals and members of the festival team to compete for the Best Immersive Work Award, presented at a special closing ceremony. As with the cinema selection, works will also be presented out of competition.
