Discover the calls for entries for the Visa pour l'Image festival

Based in Perpignan, Visa pour l'Image is the world's biggest photojournalism festival. The festival combines exhibitions, screenings, symposia and conferences on the issues facing photojournalism and photojournalists.


The 2025 edition will take place from August 30 to September 14.


Each year, the festival rewards the best photojournalistic subjects from all over the world, through a number of prizes and bursaries:

 

 

 

Canon Short Documentary Video Grant

Organized by Canon, in partnership with Images Evidence, the Canon Short Video Documentary Grant rewards a video maker and/or photographer with an 8,000 euro grant and the loan of professional video equipment to help finance and carry out their project.


Application deadline: May 27, 2025.

 

 



Canon Woman Photojournalist Grant

Organized by Canon and Visa pour l'Image, the Canon Bursary for Women Photojournalists rewards a photographer for her contribution to photojournalism. The prize of 8,000 euros will enable the 2025 winner to finance her project.


Application deadline: May 21, 2025.




Françoise Demulder Prize

Organized by the French Ministry of Culture, in partnership with Visa pour l'Image, the Françoise Demulder prize is designed to support women photojournalists in their reporting projects.


At stake aretwo prizes of 8,000 euros each, donated by the Ministry of Culture/DRAC Occcitanie for the production or completion of a report.


Application deadline: June 12, 2025.

 



Pierre & Alexandra Boulat Prize

Supported by the Scam, the Pierre & Alexandra Boulats Prize provides an 8,000-euro endowment for an original photographic reporting project .


Application deadline: June 1, 2025.




Gold humanitarian visa from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)

Endowed with 8,000 euros by the ICRC, the ICRC Humanitarian Golden Visa is awarded to a professional photojournalist who has covered a humanitarian issue related to armed conflict. This year's theme is "Civilians, the first victims of armed conflict".


Application deadline: June 8, 2025.

 



Prix Camille Lepage

Created a few months after Camille Lepage 's death in the Central African Republic, the " Camille Lepage - On est ensemble " association promotes the memory, commitment and work of the photographer.


Endowed by the SAIF with 8,000 euros, the prize rewards the work of a committed photojournalist.

Application deadline: May 5, 2025.

 



SAIF / Benoît Schaeffer grant for photographic publishing

Launched by the SAIF in tribute to photojournalist Benoît Schaeffer, the SAIF / Benoît Schaeffer Bursary for Photographic Publishing rewards the career of a professional press and/or documentary photographer who requires support for the creation of a printed monographic work.


The grant is endowed with 10,000 euros by the Saif, and will be awarded to the winner for a monograph project on his or her body of work.


Application deadline: April 30, 2025.




Photo Award - Yves Rocher Foundation

Created by the Yves Rocher Foundationin partnership with Visa pour l'Image, the prize supports journalistic work on issues relating to the environment, the relationship between humans and the earth, and the major challenges of ecological transition. The 2025 winner will receive a grant of 8,000 euros from the Yves Rocher Foundation.
