Call for entries for the MAPP_MTL International Projection Mapping Festival in Montreal

The MAPP_MTL festival and theOFQJ (Office franco-québécois pour la jeunesse) are offering 6 young French professionals the chance to take part in the 9th edition of the MAPP_MTL International Projection Mapping Festival, to be held in Montreal from September 25 to 28, 2024.

 

The MAPP_MTL festival , which takes place every September on the Mile End train tracks in Montreal's Mile Ex district, aims to promote the development of projection mapping while showcasing local talent. Each year, the festival showcases some one hundred artists, helping to raise the profile of video mapping among the general public.

 

The 6 selected artists will also have the opportunity to create a MINUTE_MAPP work, a 60-second mapping projection, to be projected onto the façade of the iconic Million Tapis et Tuiles in front of the Van Horne Skatepark. This year's theme is " perspective ".

 

 

The call for entries is open to artists, creators, entrepreneurs and professionals in the cultural and creative industries, either French or living in France for more than a year, aged between 18 and 35.

 

The festival and OFQJ will cover the cost of a€300 return flight , as well asaccreditation for all festival activities.

 

The deadline for applications is May 30, 2024.
